HUMBLE, Texas -- At a press conference today at the Shell Houston Open, PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem announced that Fred Couples and Greg Norman would be returning as captains of the U.S. and International Teams, respectively, for The Presidents Cup 2011 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, at Royal Melbourne Golf Club -- site of the 1998 event. Couples, who is competing in this week's PGA TOUR event, joined Finchem in the media center for the announcement, while Norman joined via teleconference from Europe.

Thanks to worldwide attention from the 1998 Presidents Cup, Melbourne shed its title of "The Best Kept Secret in Golf," and in the ensuing 12 years has added a new accolade: "The World's Best Golf Destination."

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Sony Corporation and the PGA TOUR announced Thursday a partnership to explore new entertainment experiences for golf in 3D. Together, Sony and the TOUR will work to develop a plan to make the 2011 Sony Open in Hawaii the first TOUR event shot in 3D and available for distribution in 3D to select audiences, in addition to its regular 2D presentation.

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. -- The PGA TOUR announced a one-year only schedule change that moves The Heritage (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) a week later to April 18-24 in 2011. Traditionally played the week following The Masters, The Heritage in 2011 will be held the same week as the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, the Champions Tour team event in nearby Savannah, Ga.
